A Balkan baby show. These Roumanian women brought their sick babies to the American Red Cross hospital in Bucharest and the babies now speak for themselves. This group represent the early morning arrivals at the children's dispensary. As they gathered on the porch of the dispensary about which was draped a large American flag. The exhibition resembled a "baby show." The biggest task of the Red Cross was to overcome the lethargy of a people who knew nothing of proper care of babies and general prevention of disease
