A beautiful pink dogwood tree stands before the 1881 First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Oregon

Jacksonville is an historic gold-mining town that avoided decline into a ghost town even though the railroad bypassed it for nearby Medford in the 1880s in southern Oregon. It is now (2018) a flourishing tourist attraction, full of vintage buildings and boutique businesses.
