description

Summary

Print shows at center in a parlor a man playing a flute, he steps on a small dog's tail causing it to yelp, on the right a young woman is playing a pianoforte with some intent as a man holds her music book open, they both are singing, a small boy toots a horn, and on the floor a cat, with back arched, appears to be screeching to the music; on the left a portly man is asleep in a chair, his wig fallen back off his head, his gouty feet raised, resting on another chair, and between him and a roaring blaze in the fireplace, stands another couple, also singing along, the tall plumage in the woman's hair have become fuel to the flame of a candle on the mantle.
