Rocco was at the shop to help with the butchering that day. His father, Pasquale, was in the back helping make fresh sausage. Rocco and his father both emigrated here from Montescaglioso, the same town in Basilicata province, Italy, where Joe Miraglia and many other people in the 21st Avenue area are from. Rocco is a chef at a local restaurant, Lunello's, and has worked as a chef in other Italian restaurants in the area.
