1998 Charles E. Peterson Prize, Entry
Significance: This structure is a product of Wright's passion to provide housing for which a city dweller could afford. The structure, and others like it, reflect the principles Wright conceived and practiced. Open plan, use of natural materials, human proportions in scale, and construction techniques appropriate to the machines employed became these principles Wright fueled his design, thus giving all an opportunity to experience and cherish.
