Summary
Summary: Jacob Roll sold Lasswell thirty-one acres of timber land in Sangamon County, Illinois. Lasswell gave Jacob Roll several promissory notes but failed to pay. Jacob Roll and the administrator of Jacob Roll's estate, Pierson Roll, recovered three judgments against Lasswell for approximately $326. Lasswell paid only $25. Pierson Roll retained Lincoln and Herndon and sued Lasswell in a chancery action to sell the land to the pay the judgments. Lasswell agreed to a judgment against himself for $301.10. Lasswell paid Roll $230. The court later struck the case from the docket.
