Summary

Significance: Bridge L2257 is locally significant under National Register of Historic Places Criterion C in the area of Engineering as exemplary of the work of local bridge builder, Perley N. Gillham. The bridge, which was constructed in 1910, is significant in the development of the reinforced-concrete bridge, as an example of an early, experimental, non-standardized-design reinforced-concrete bridge.
