Budget building. Acting Director of the Budget, Daniel W. Bell, is busy since his Warm Springs conference with President Roosevelt on budget matters. He was photographed Friday (11/29/35) as he studied various and assorted figures. In addition to his position with the Budget Bureau, where he refused to take the permanent assignment as chief because it would cost him his civil service status, Bell is commission of accounts and deposits and mentioned as a successor to Comptroller General J.R.
