Significance: The Cenex-Harvest States Grain Cooperatives complex is part of a group of several grain elevators built in the first half of the twentieth century on the opposing Lake Superior harbors of Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin. Other grain elevators in this area including Peavey Globe Elevator and Great Northern Elevator "S" in Superior, and the Peavey Duluth Terminal and Occident Terminal Elevator in Duluth.
