Summary
Significance: The Clearwater Beach Picnic Area, with the bathhouse, picnic shelter, associated buildings, lake and picnic area, is illustrative of the scenic settings found in the public works projects of the Depression era. This complex and the other similar complexes are especially significant as they are good examples of Region 9 Depression-era "ensemble" architecture with the comprehensive site planning and functional and spatial organization.
