Comstock Road Bridge, Comstock Road spanning Black River, 0.2 mile southeast of Graham Road intersection, Yale, St. Clair County, MI
Summary
Significance: This bridge is one of very few examples of a cast-in-place concrete closed spandrel (non-filled) deck arch structure found in Michigan. The attention to cosmetic detail (such as the precast concrete balusters) makes it even more interesting. It sits in a very serene setting in the middle of the Port Huron State Game Area. Today, it is very important as a link in the east/west County Primary Road System.
