Summary

Significance: Curry Creek Bridge represents the solid concrete arch bridge type. One of forty-six concrete arch bridges recorded in the state of Georgia and one of thirty-seven identified as a solid concrete arch, it is the only such bridge recorded in Jackson County. This bridge does not possess a bridge plate. No information has been found concerning the history of the bridge with the exception of the construction date. According to Ms. Ann A. Jarrett of the Jackson County Historical Society, the bridge was built in 1926 to replace a covered bridge at the same location.
