Summary
Illustration shows many patrons blatantly removing paintings from walls and other art objects which they are intending on stealing and walking past museum guards at the Musée du Louvre.
Caption: A recent inventory of the pictures in the Louvre showed that three hundred and twenty-three canvases were missing. Among the artists included were such masters as Boucher, Carot, Coypel, David, Millet, Vernet, Constable, Reynolds, Lawrence, and Leonardo da Vinci.
