Dangerous spot. Washington, D.C., Dec. 18. Dr. L.H. Adams, Director of the Geological Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution, is standing in what might be a dangerous position should the little steel drum in the cabinet [next to] him explode. From these studies is learned something of the behavior of rocks at great depths, 12/18/37
