Daughter of man who gave Landis first job discovered at new Willard Hotel, Wash. When Judge Kenesaw M. Landis, High Commissioner of Baseball was in Wash. for the World Series, he discovered Mrs. Laura Moody at the information desk in the new Willard Hotel and recognized her to be the daughter of Chas. Watts, who gave him his first job. At that time Mr. Watts was superintendent of the Pan Handle Railroad and Judge Landis was given a job as clerk. Later Mr. Watts became general Sutp. for the Penn Railroad System. He dies 4 yrs ago. Judge Landis took Mrs. Moody to the World Series
