Medium: Ebonite, silver keys and ferrules.; 66.3 cm.
Key Holes System: Carte's 1867 patent (see DCM 14) with Collard's modifications, British patent no. 4661, 1885. Cylindrical. This modification essentially just shifts to the front of the tube the mechanism whereby depressing the 3rd finger right hand key closes the G-natural tonehole thus offering an alternate F# fingering (Boehm system). Post and rod, open G#, roller for low C.
