DCM 0456: Anonymous Vertical Whistle Flute

Mark Maximum: No mark.
Condition: Between fingerholes 3 and 4 there is a damaged area affecting the edge of fingerhole 3, and looking to be intentionally gouged; reason unknown, and apparently not finished.
Provenance: J. S. Lovejoy, Calcutta, India, 28 Jan. 1925.

The Dayton C. Miller collection in the Library of Congress, contains nearly 1,700 flutes and other wind instruments, statuary, iconography, books, music, trade catalogs, tutors, patents, and other materials mostly related to the flute.
