DCM ledger quotes Boehm's record book: "Aug. 20 1848. Eine B Flöte von Argentan mit Dekelklappen und silber Mundloch £14. Den 20th August abgesendet an M. Richard Carte, 38 Southampton Street, Strand, London. Bezahlt 18 Dezember."

Condition: DCM ledger: "Flute had an added 'Briccialdi' thumb attachment--removed this." Missing upper D pad cup (C), also low C (B-flat) pad cup. Crutch missing.
Provenance: Miss Desirée Ellinger (Mrs. Henry Carte, of Rudall, Carte & Co.) Collection, sale, Puttick & Simpson, London, 29 Nov. 1934, obtained by Harold Reeves, London, on behalf of DCM, received 7 Jan. 1935.
