Summary

Summary: The trustees of schools, of township 17N, range 13W, sued Donovan and Palmer to set aside a land sale. Donovan had purchased four lots from the school commissioners at $0.50 and $0.75 per acre after the valuation of the lots had increased to $4.50 per acre. The court set aside the sale and gave Donovan thirty days to purchase the lot on which he had built a home for $4.50 per acre. Lincoln represented Donovan and Palmer, a school commissioner.
