Summary
Print shows birds-eye view of the events of the Battle of Senta fought on 11 September 1697 (near Zenta in present day Serbia) The battle was a major defeat of the Ottoman forces by Hapsburg imperial forces in the Great Turkish War (1683-1699). Allegorical elements include depictions of angels on horseback riding in the air above the battle and the comparison of the Ottoman leaders to the downfall of an ancient Pharaoh and Assyrian King Sennacherib.
