description

Summary

Significance: Part of an ongoing project to document the evolution of the Columbia River gillnet boat, this Double Ended Bowpicker is an example of a double ender with cabin aft (bowpicker). Motorized double enders like this one were the first to employ the bowpicker configuration, which became the configuration of choice for the later semi-displacement boats.
