Summary

Significance: The bridge is a rare example of the "Champion Wrought Iron Arch Bridge" patented in 1874 by Jonathan and Zimri Wall. The design played a key role in the early history of their company, the Champion Iron Bridge Company. Later renamed the Champion Bridge Company, it is the only 19th century Ohio bridge company to survive to the present day.
