Identifed on the map are Plymouth, Portland, Isle de Wigh[t], Portesmouth, London and and Dover on the English side and Brest, Bretagne, Normandie, Cherbourg, Barfleur, Carenton the islands of Aldernay, Garnesey and Jersey, Rouen, Isle de France, Paris, Havre de Grace at the mouth of the Seine, Dieppe, Abreville, Boulogne and Calais on the French side. Key at middle bottom of image lists (A-I) the ships identified in the print engaged in the 1692 battle.
