Birds-eye view print shows scene of battle between forces on horseback with some riders carrying standards of the crescent moon, fallen horses and fallen riders in the foreground. Behind are troops of soldiers facing off in battle while clouds of smoke rise behind tent encampments. The Battle of Slankamen was fought near Slankamen, Serbia on August 19, 1691, between Austrian and German forces (from Baden) on behalf of the Holy Roman Empire against the Ottoman Empire.
