Even sweepings are saved as the Nassau Smelting and Refining Company does its part to conserve defense materials. Gathered from railroad cars, truck, and operation departments, sweepings will be used to charge a blast furnace. The yield, pure copper, will be refined into wire bar to be rolled and drawn into telephone wire
