Birds-eye view print shows the Alte Brücke [Old Bridge] on the Main River between Frankfurt and Sachsenhausen during battle in August 1635 when imperialist troops captured Sachsenhausen that had been occupied by Swedish forces. The print shows cannons firing from the river bank on the Frankfurt side at the bottom of the print, troops on the bridge and bridge towers in flames. Troop formations behind the city as well as other landmarks. Details in the print are labeled A-Z and numbered 1-10 with an explanatory key below the caption.
