Federal Building, Charles & High Streets, Muncie, Delaware County, IN
Summary
Significance: The Federal Building was built in 1904 as the main post office for Muncie. It is a fine example of the Beaux-Arts, Italian Renaissance style and is in excellent overall condition. An addition completed in 1931 preserved the structure's style while doubling its size. The Federal Building is important in that it is one of the two most significant historic examples of public architecture in Muncie.
