Eccles, Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, expressed his opposition to a bill liberalizing provisions of the Federal Home Loan Act. He said that enactment of the act, sponsored by Senator Wagner, would expand operations of the Home Loan Bank System far beyond the scope of its original purposes
