Federal Reserve Board Committee before Senate Committee. Washington, D.C., June 13. Appearing before the Senate Banking and Currency Subcommittee today, Marriner S. Eccles, Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, expressed his opposition to a bill liberalizing provisions of the Federal Home Loan Act. He said that enactment of the act, sponsored by Senator Wagner, would expand operations of the Home Loan Bank System far beyond the scope of its original purposes
