Fenced-in walkways of the Richardson Olmsted Complex, the 1870 Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane, Buffalo, New York
Summary
The building and surrounding grounds designed by architect Henry Hobson Richardson and landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, respectively. Over the years, as mental health treatment changed, the complex deteriorated. As of 2018, renewal has begun with a new Hotel Henry Urban Resort Conference Center in the iconic tower building.
