1989 Charles E. Peterson Prize, Entry
Significance: Architecturally the building is significant because the four classroom building represents the transition from the simple one room log cabin type school houses of pioneer days to the institutional facilities that developed in the twentieth century. The school house was designed by architect H.P. Schnetzky and cost approximately $4000 to build. The building is a 1 1/2 story, square, cream-city brick in the "Richardsonian Romanesque" style.
