Fort McCoy, Building No. T-1034, North side of South Tenth Avenue, Block 10, Sparta, Monroe County, WI
Summary
Significance: Building T-1034 is an Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat (EENT) Clinic, Type CLIN-P-H, a specialized facility for the treatment of deficiencies and ailments of those areas. This is the only example of this type of facility at McCoy, and it was created from the conversion of a standard ward building (Type W-1) in June of 1943. Up until that time, the EENT facilities were housed in Building T-1033, the Laboratory; but necessary expansions of both areas resulted in the transformation of Building T-1934 into a specialized clinic.
