Fort McCoy, Building T-1046, Sparta, Monroe County, WI
Summary
Significance: Building T.1046 is significant as a relatively unmodified representative of a 33-bed hospital ward. It represents one of thirty Type W-1 buildings constructed at Fort McCoy in 1942. Of these, eight were modified by the addition of kitchens in 1957 and eleven were rehabilitated into USAR School billets at a later date.
