Four Freedoms and Arsenal of Democracy posters. Checking the finished product with a model, these workers are completing the assembly of the two 15 x 30 ft photomontages which are displayed in Defense Square, Washington for a month beginning November 7, 1941. The panels entitled The Four Freedoms and Arsenal of Democracy were designed for the Office of Emergency Management by Jean Carlu, eminent poster artist. They were shown first in New York and after the Washington showing went on a tour of many large cities throughout the country
