Significance: The Four Mile Historic Park in Denver Colorado is a living history museum housing the oldest standing structure in Denver, the Four Mile House (HABS No. CO -36-C-2), as well as other historically and architecturally relevant buildings. One of those buildings, the Bee House, serves as a reminder of both the entrepreneurship and ingenuity of early female Colorado pioneers and, due to its juxtaposition with the other historic buildings on the site, it demonstrates the change in architectural styles over time.
