Freeman-Marks House, 112 North Third Street, Albemarle, Stanly County, NC
Significance: The 1 story frame cottage, built ca. 1847, is the oldest extant structure in Albemarle, which was established in 1842 as the County seat of the newly formed Stanly County. The house has had a variety of residents and owners, beginning with A.S. Freeman, son of the of the owner Daniel Freeman, and his family.
