Summary

Significance: This structure was the house of an early settler, ancestor of all of the Nims in the United States. Post Office kept here from 1816-1831. / Built early in the eighteenth century for Godfrey Nims, a cordwainer, this unpretentious house is a rare extant example of its kind in Deerfield. Exterior walls of the main portion retain their brick and clay nogging. It is now owned and occupied by Deerfield Academy.
