Summary
Significance: Little River Road is an extremely prominent thoroughfare in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, second only to Newfound Gap Road. The transportation system in this park is representative of NPS park road design and landscape planning throughout the country. Much of the construction work was undertaken by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s.
