Compare the ages of the school boys (12 and 13 years they said) with Jo and Antone (said 15 and 14). They have both been cleaners in Kilburs Mill for two years. Location: New Bedford, Massachusetts

Group of boys who work in Suncock (N.H.) Mills. It is a large corporation, employing 1200 hands, but in all the three mills, I found only 1 girl and three boys that seemed to be under 14. Unusual conditions for a large N.H. Mill. Sanitary conditions here are exceptionally good, for this section. I investigated all three mills freely and was unknown and usually unattended by anyone.
