Significance: This house is a large and well preserved example of the French colonial architectural tradition. Its walls are constructed of closely spaced, hewn vertical logs (poteaux sur sole) and the roof is supported by elaborate trusses, one of the most impressive examples of this characteristic feature in Ste.
