Significance: Relatively undisturbed block of late 19th century rowhouses, presenting a well-maintained period streetscape. #2030 was the home of Washington architect Joseph Hornblower. Street named for Curtis J . Hillyer, California mine owner and real estate speculator, and was originally carriage route to Hillyer's mansion.
