Holliday-Schaefer House, 2307 Chapline Street, Wheeling, Ohio County, WV
Summary
Significance: The Holliday-Schaefer House is an example of post Civil War eclectic architecture and utilizes elements of several different popular styles. The interior woodwork is beautifully executed and is in excellent condition. The rear portion appears to have been built around 1868 and the front block about 1896. These dates are based on all known historical information and an architectural evaluation of the exterior.
