Holy Family Church (Roman Catholic), 1104-1114 West Roosevelt Road, Chicago, Cook County, IL
Summary
Significance: Completed in 1860, Holy Family Church is one of the earliest Roman Catholic churches in Chicago, and was then one of the largest churches in the country. Presently, it is the second oldest church in the city, preceeded only by St. Patricks' Church, which also escaped the fire of 1871. The building is a typical example of pre-fire, Gothic Revival church architecture in Chicago.
