Hoover Dam, Promontory Water Tank, U.S. Highway 93, Boulder City, Clark County, NV
Summary
Significance: It was an element of the central fire protection system of the Hoover Dam switchyard complex. The tank was erected in 1935 in advance of completion of any of the Federal switchyards. It remains functional for water supply to the switchyard complex and the Exhibit Building at the dam at the time of this documentation, in 2002.
