Summary
Significance: This segment of U.S. Highway 93 was constructed by Six Companies, Inc., as a finishing element to Hoover Dam. The segment includes stone parapet walls built in 1932 that display extruded-mortar stone masonry used in many finishing details of the dam project. The hairpin turn and the safety walls are distinct reflections of Hoover Dam construction.
