Red Cross Community Nurse and two of her charges. The mothering guardian of the health of babies and other young folks the Red Cross Community Nurse is a factor of growing importance in preserving the health of American cities and towns. Under the Peace Program of the Organization, to back up which a record membership for 1920 will be sought during the Third Red Cross Roll Call, Nov. 2 to 11, the number of these nurses will be greatly increased throughout the country

Red Cross Bedside Nursing. Bedside nursing is one of the most highly appreciated duties of the Red Cross Public Health Nurse. This bed-ridden invalid has been made comfortable on the porch of her home by the Nurse who regularly visits here. Under the peace program of the Red Cross, to sustain which the third Red Cross Roll Call for members which will be held, Nov. 2 to 11 the Public Health Nursing system will be expanded to be even more effective than at present

French Babies Under American Care. The American Red Cross has taken over a part of the work at a French Pouponniere or Nursing Home near Paris. They are about 250 babies in this establishment, and the Red Cross cares for 48 of these in a separate building under the direction of Miss Baule, an American, assisted by French student nurses. Whatever service the helpless require the Red Cross is prepared to furnish. Here she is seen caring for a victim of Rheumatism, whose malady forces her to sit bolt upright in her chair all day long. "But", she said, "I don't feel so helpless and lonesome anymore, since Miss Cameron, our Red Cross Nurse, comes to comb my hair and rub my stiff old joints." Innumberable others will benefit from the extention of the Red Cross Nursing system, under the Peace Program of the organization, to insure which the Third Red Cross Call will be held Nov. 2, to 11 which as nearly universal membership for 1920 as possible will be sought

With the American Red Cross Public Health Nurse at the helm of this boat and its happy company is ready to start for the town health center and health. This is only one of the many activities that engage the attention of the Red Cross Nurse whose number will be greatly increased under the Peace Program of the Organization to maintain the strength of which attained during the war the Third Red Cross Roll Call will be held Nov. 2 to 11 with a goal of 20,000,000 members for 1920
