The words "Isaac" and "slave children" printed on the mount are obscured by tape.
"Ent'd, accord'g to act of Congress, in the year 1863, by Geo. H. Hanks, in the Clerk's Office of the U.S. for the S. Dis. of N.Y." printed on back of the mount.
"The nett [sic] proceeds from the sale of these photographs will be devoted excusively to the education of colored people in the Department of the Gulf, now under the command of Major General Banks" printed on back of the mount.
"GDL086" and "CDV430" written in pencil on back of the mount.
