Italian-Catholic church in Oakland, California. Both the Italian and Portuguese people were attracted to the East Bay area because of climate similar to that of their own country and because of the fishing. These people of the two countries have stayed on in the section, becoming a part of every activity: fishing, industry, business and agriculture
