Italian Embassy picketed by peace-democracy group protesting seizures. Washington, D.C., April 8. Representatives of the Washington branch of the American League for Peace and Democracy took up signs today and picketed the Italian Embassy. It was a variety of long-distance picketing, however, for police kept demonstrators at a distance of 500 feet from the Embassy. The group protested Fascist and Nazi conquests and establishment of various 'protectorates' in Europe. 4-8-39
