James W. Seavey Hop Driers, 0.6 mile East from junction of Highway 99 & Alexander Avenue, Corvallis, Benton County, OR

Significance: The James W. Seavey Hop Driers are the only known remaining intact examples of large-scale hop drying complexes in the Willamette Valley. Containing its paired kilns, this complex in Covallis is representative of the extensive hop operations that were common in the region during the late-nineteenth and early twentieth century. Also of note is the association of the complex with James Seavey who was an important figure in Oregon's early-twentieth century hop industry.
