Summary
1993 Charles E. Peterson Prize, Entry
Significance: The John A.G. Davis House, one of two houses located on the estate known as The Farm, stands today as a landmark of the rich history of Charlottesville, Virginia. Situated atop a small hill overlooking the Rivanna River, The Farm has served as headquarters for both British forces during the American Revolution and Custer's Union infantry during the Civil War.
